yep, was fine since the beginning up to the recent osg changes to cmake. at that point vpb broke against out-of-source osg builds.

iirc, you always install, so nothing changes for you. but if you have an out-of-source osg build, and you want to do use it with an out-of- source build of vpb, these changes now allow that.

I've been doing out-of-source builds of VPB since the beginning... (since it was switched to use CMake) Was there a problem I wasn't aware of? Can you elaborate on what the problem was?

Perhaps this was a problem only on Linux/Unix-based (MacOS) and not on Windows?
