Hi sukender,

Maybe the default value can be the last developed version. Using the plugin by default we can have the last version with bug fixes.

Regards,
  Vincent.

Well actually it seems the 3DS reader works with transforms, but apply them to
vertices (which is quite strange, since I always thought it wans't the case).
Or maybe is this behaviour came when sync'ing with latest lib3DS? Anyway, I'll
leave the choice to the user. Question is: what would be the default value? ;)
I need testing against the previous plugin; but I don't have much time...

Who agrees, and who doesn't ?
Thanks for answering.
Given the history of 3DS I don't think the will be one right answer,
as I would not be surprised as data from different sources to have
their own conventions. If the OSG has been working acceptibly well
so
far with transforms and then comes along some data that doens't work
well then clearly we'd need to support both and have an option for
switching between the two.

Another thing that would be worth doing is collecting a series of
test
models together to illustrate the problem, and provide a unit test
for
us going forward.

Robert.
