PBO and FBO address two different tasks, PBO's are PixelBufferObjects that help pass memory from the application to the driver and eventually to the GPU, and back. What do you > think? I think this would be a good step, as the two benefit each other. If one could do the code in two separate sections - the part that iteratively loads all the tiles required, then moves on to the rendering/compositing the poster image. osgposter might well be the better name of the combined example.
