I have a Geforce GTX 560 Ti in my Kubuntu dev work. OpenGL version is only 4.2 though, and glxinfo doesn't report the compute_shaders extension. I expect if I grabbed the drivers directly from NVidia I could probably get compute shaders to work. Once I've cleared a bit more of my submissions backlog I'll have a look up updating the drivers. > My plan is to provide a GPU histogram example using the new computer > shaders, which would be helpful for determining the brightness of the scene > on screen, as well as an important part of the SDSM shadow technique for > very large range use.
