>From my last look at osgEphemeris it would need quite a bit of work to get it in a state appropriate for integration with the core OSG. I had originally hoped that osgEphemeris would slide right it to the core OSG shortly after its release, but what I had hoped for was a straght forward and self contained NodeKit didn't materialize. Things that would need to happen before integration would be pulling out of the C++ embedded imagery, removal of the helper apps to create the said embedded imagery leaving a simple NodeKit. If users want to have embedded imagery then this is something that should be contained within plugins or passed in from users applications. I would also like to have see support for geospatial datasets - utilising the CoordinateSystemNode to help locate the eye point in the lat/log/height, and have inbuilt support for going from space down to ground level. Any takers for taking on osgEphemeris to tackle the above and get in a state ready for merging?
