Thanks a lot for the hint. I actually thought that
when associating my lightsource with the StateSet via
setStateSetModes() the value of GL_LIGHTx would have
been set to ON. Now I do this explicitly and it seems
to work.
In defense of the coding style example: I was still
concerned with the principle of the OSG-command ;)
