Hello Sashidar and Wojciech, I recently moved my home machine to Vista, and Express 2005 is not available for download anymore (only 2008). So I ran into this as well.

Workaround is to run cmake from VS 2008 > command prompt. This is what I've heard. If this does not help ask > again in new year. My collegues who use 2008 with OSG will be back I > am sure they will know the answer... I tried it that way, and it did not work. CMake would automatically select Visual Studio 8 (2005), but then when configuring, it would not be able to compile a test project because VS would say that it needs to be converted. It turns out that you need to download a nightly build of CMake 2.5 to get VS 2008 support. See the bottom of this page: http://www.cmake.org/files/vCVS/ . That got me to compiling, which it is doing right now. I'll chime back in when it's done to report success/failure. I'll also try and add any relevant information to the Wiki, though it'll probably end up being on the VS2005 page (renamed to VS2005+2008 maybe) because other than this CMake snag, it seems very similar up until now. > Linking apllication built with VS 2008 against VS 2005 or VS 2003 > libs is bad idea. There will be a conflict between OSG runtime and > your program runtime libs (crashes and exceptions). That's always true, and I think it should be on the Wiki as well (in big red letters maybe?). We get people every so often who get crashes and mix compiler versions for libs and their program - which is asking for trouble on Windows.
