Hi Emilie, I don't have much experience with doing what you're trying to do, but do you have the data variance on your geometry set to dynamic? When I've forgotten to do this in the past various things I've tried to modify dynamically weren't applied, I can't recall if position (for example) worked but not color - it could have been that nothing was updating right and completely different from your case... but perhaps a hint?
