Hi Robert, This is definitely a possibility I'd like to explore, especially in the "cloud". I have a managed VPS that runs CentOS RedHat. Is this something I could use to get a version of OSG running to batch convert file formats to .osgb? Also, have you heard of anyone doing this type of thing on a service like Amazon?
