Ooops, possibly messed up my earlier reply; apologies if this is a double post

At any rate,  OS is linux-2.6.23, CPUs are 64-bit AMD and Intel multi-core, and 
graphic boards are Nvidia GEForce 8 and 9 series,  Moving to GTX 460s after we 
get these shaders working

Quick comment, it would appear the example shader code in OSG 2.8.3 and 2.8.4 
is a few years old.  what version of GLSL does it support?

running flightgear 2.0 and 2.2 which use shaders and the basic shader example 
code works, so all that seems to be in order.

My assumption ( after some reading and research ) is that the texture info is 
not being passed to the frament shader.  

Just wondering if others have been able to run these examples as is?

And is there a more appropriate place to post this type of problem; perhaps a 
users or developers group or is this the best place?
...
