Hi, If it's of any help I've observed pretty much the same thing, when using the old geometrytechnique (win 7 VS2010). I've tried with .osgb and .ive vpb generated terrain databases.
With a singlethreaded viewer it seems to work although crashes when opening the stats. With a multithreaded viewer though I consistently get a crash in osg::State during the first frame.
