In summary would go something like "great new innovative feature pulling ahead of Java, but not really that inovative as its been around since Lisps creation, but hey its innovative to us so..." and ".NET need to appeal to cross platform to appeal to developers, but MS arn't committed to properly supporting the platform on anything other than Windows.."
Sun's Java move has certainly put the pressure on MS and the attractiveness of .NET, and funky new feature hear or there won't change this. It'll be interesting to see how things pan out. Expect a MS marketing blitz ;-)
