Hi all,
I've prepared a page on the OSG wiki site to talk about the problem of
binary file versioning on Windows platforms.
Three words:
Static Linking, Baby! ;)
Works wonders for me. I keep every release of my app around and I can run any one of
them at any time with no headaches.
Oh, and the total code size I have to keep around for each build is much smaller too,
especially compared to keeping a complete set of the necessary DLLs for each release.
Some call me a heretic...
Feedback is greatly appreciated.
