I differ on this one. I think that binaries are mostly used by people new to osg who want to see what it does. When I started to investigate which graphics library to use for my application, it was really very good to have the examples together with the library in a nice installer. When I started to do real work with the osg I compiled it myself anyway (as I used to use mingw, and there are no binaries), and when you get used to it, it´s no big deal to build it. But for people who use the binaries the examples are important.
Thanks, I hadn't thought about things that way. Which I guess might bring to have multiple sets of binaries, but this in itself will add complications to those building the libs.
