The app note is from the OSGi users wiki and contains extremely important information about native code and OSGi. It was written by a person from Paremus that had a lot of experience in this area. It is messy because it is very complex to do it right.
The spec should show you sufficient information to build a bundle with native code. What do you miss there? Once you figured it out, it would be nice to create an app note or example workspace in OSGi enRoute to demonstrate this to others.
