Hmmm... either I am stupid, or it does not work on my devices. Yes, I can long-tap on the map, I get the (slightly annoying) range splotch-marker. I can tap on the map again, the orange marker remains, but no red arrow to this destination,if it leaves the screen. Tapping this marker, I can set it as a (blue flag) map marker. Still no red arrow when this leaves the screen area. I once or twice managed to set the destination marker (chequered flag) while playing around with the routing, but I -always- had to calculate a route first, then stop the navigation. Only then the flag did remain sometimes, and the red arrow pointed where I wanted. I suspect this behavior is not really intended, though, as I am not able to reproduce it consistently. Or again, I might be missing something. Anyhow, the old way to simply set a destination marker and have a red arrow point the way, was extremely useful and I wish there was a good way to have it back again. Or if it is still implemented an meant to be used, a recipe on 'how-to-do-it'. Pretty please with sugar on it! :-) Stephan -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Osmand" group.
