I think the bottom line is that the method you use will inevitably produce the issues you're encountering. The thread suggests some solutions using other services, as well as the simple workaround of planning a route using OsmAnd itself--which you can save to a GPX for later use. That GPX will avoid your first issue: you should get true turn-by-turn navigation. But not your second: if you follow a GPX and detour from it, OsmAnd will want to route you back to it.
