For an upcoming motorcycle tour between Alicante and Valencia, in Spain, I have prepared a route in Garmin Basecamp. Then I have chosen all the shaping points and downloaded them as gpx to my phone. When I try to use these points to get a Osmand-route, the app tells me it is unable to calculate the route because the starting point is too far away. So, it seems I will not be able to prepare anything in advance, and check if it works. Am I doing somtehting wrong, or is Osmand set up in a way that the only possible starting point is where I actually am, or close to this point? My experience with following tracks are not good, so I want a route. This route shall not follow the main roads, so I do need shaping points.
