This might be a workaround (but not the equivalent) for the lack of a route alarm:
Create a route in OsmAnd. Save it to a GPX. Start navigation using the GPX In directions/settings, make sure "Pass along entire track" is unchecked If you leave the route as dictated by the GPX, I think this will lead you back to it.
