Brouter is fast and can be run on a smartphone. It is dedicated to
routing. However it does take up resources so on a slower phone or one
without so much memory OSMAND will still run without Brouter.
OSMAND gets the routing job done. It might not be the fastest on the
planet but it works.
Just because something has not changed for many years does not mean it
needs to.
If you feel the devs are lacking in expertise then feel free to develop
your own app.
