If you are talking about head units you don't need Android auto.
I now have my 3rd Android head unit and I simply run OsmAnd and MagicEarth
on it (next to a bunch of other Android apps).
No need for Android Auto.
What's more: Android auto would severely cripple many OsmAnd functions, due
to Android Auto policies.
No, I prefer 10.000 % Android OsmAnd over Android Auto with
mutilated OsmAnd..
