I can understand it being low priority, it'd be great to see it happen though.
I'm interested in seeing it in OSS again, as I'd love a means of running midi 
under BSD.

It does seem to be a bit of a catch-22.  Looking around google, interest
does seem to be low,  but I have to wonder if interest would ramp up
once there's something to see and play with.  I guess I'll just have to
keep my eyes open for it as and when, and see if I'm in a position to
test anything if it does happen.
