As long as it is well documented, it should be fine. Please remember that there is a big (BIG) difference in someone being comfortable with Windows command line and command prompt and batch files and scripting, and knowing Linux commands. I have been using DOS since ver 3. I use the command line quite a bit on Windows 7 and Server 2008. I write batch files to do tasks and script a lot of installs. I am very familiar with command line and command line arguments – IN WINDOWS! I do not know much about Linux. Yes, I followed the directions and was able to install OSSEC HIDs a few years ago, but that’s because they were well documented and accurate.
