As long as it is well documented, it should be fine.

Please remember that there is a big (BIG) difference in someone being
comfortable with Windows command line and command prompt and batch files and
scripting, and knowing Linux commands. I have been using DOS since ver 3. I use
the command line quite a bit on Windows 7 and Server 2008. I write batch files
to do tasks and script a lot of installs. I am very familiar with command line
and command line arguments – IN WINDOWS! I do not know much about Linux. Yes, I
followed the directions and was able to install OSSEC HIDs a few years ago, but
that’s because they were well documented and accurate.

think?

How many times does someone actually need to fire up the GUI to configure
something? We are probably only asking someone to figure out some command line
arguments once when they first configure the agent. Our documentation should be
the thing that helps them.

Something like "How to install Windows agent" that includes the exact command
line arguments someone will need to run.
