Yes, Ron - I have seen that occur most recently with a 90 year old client who lacks
the strength and dexterity to easily doff/donn knee-hi compression hose, yet scores
within the 25%-ile of age-related norms for a 22 year old woman on the 9-hole peg
test.

AAh, Pat's comments have me thinking that dexterity addresses joint
integrity issues and fine motor control addresses nerve innervation.

So, one can have an intact fine motor control system but still lack
dexterity secondary to OA. Or, one can have normal joint dexterity (i.e.
passive ROM) but not have an intact fine motor control system due to a nerve
injury.
