Pat - I have been supervising COTAs in SNFs for many years. How I have been paid id for my time. The pay for letting her work under my license comes in the form of the supervisory meetings we have each week. I have often thought that I would like to get a percentage of the revenue she generates for them, so I like that idea. I'm not sure what percentage would be fair, but 15% sounds like it might be OK. Lets assume the COTA works 40 hours and is required to be 75% billable. 30 billable hours at approximately $80 each equals $2400 per week. Say they collect $2000. You would get $300. Assuming they know what they are doing and can actually make some money, I think that sounds like a good deal. For myself to supervise the same COTA, I would get about $120 per week, about $60 for an eval, and about $40 per patient at the beginning of each month to write the new care plan. -- Jody -- Unsubscribe?
