Hello, Regarding the NBCOT or your state board licensure.... I would be curious to learn how much of the dollars we spend on these organizations goes towards lobbying. It took forever to obtain licensure in the state of California because the PT's had the money to lobby against us. My hospital will not allow us to work without both NBCOT and California license. There is no way an OT can work in California without proof. In fact, my hospital will send out a reminder of upcoming license expiration and if delinquent, you stay home until you have the license renewed. Two therapists had to drive to the state capitol office to pay for and pick up their license renewals. Roxanne
