Hi Sourabh, This could be related to a number of things, but I'll get the ball rolling:
- Have you installed the SSL module for perl (also confirm which OS you're running OTRS on) - is the Net::DNS module installed? To check the above (Linux) linux:~# cd /opt/otrs/bin/ linux:/opt/otrs/bin# ./otrs.checkModules Are you behind a corporate/personal firewall? Could this be blocking the traffic to that port number? What is your configuration for mail? (exclude username and password etc.) Thanks, David On Wed, Dec 23, 2009 at 7:04 AM, Sourabh Sarwate <[email protected]>wrote: > Hi > > Can anyone help for the error as I mentioned in my previous mail. > > Regards > Sourabh Sarwate > > > > On Wed, Dec 23, 2009 at 10:42 AM, Sourabh Sarwate > <[email protected]>wrote: > >> Hi All, >> >> I am getting following error when I am trying to test my smtp >> configuration for OTRS 2.4.5 on windows xp workstation.I am using port 465. >> can any one give me idea about this error and how I can resolve it. >> >> *can't connect to smtp.gmail.com : bad file descriptor!! >> >> *-- >> Regards, >> Sourabh Sarwate >> >> >> > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > OTRS mailing list: otrs - Webpage: http://otrs.org/ > Archive: http://lists.otrs.org/pipermail/otrs > To unsubscribe: http://lists.otrs.org/cgi-bin/listinfo/otrs > > NEW!
