I still don't understand the problem. Why writing 128 bytes(all 8 user chars) to CG RAM is so time consuming? Does it take 4 times longer than writing a message to the screen (32 bytes in 2x16 LCD)? How does writing to CG RAM differ for writing a message to DD RAM?
