I'm not an expert myself. I would use a optoisolator. Those are cheap and draw less power than a relay. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opto-isolator Here's one 4N33 it about $1 and you will need some resistors http://www.me.umn.edu/courses/me2011/arduino/technotes/4N33.pdf Look at the page 4 on the left there is example of a circuit. However the one thing I'm not sure if this particular one(4N33) would run 5V on the detector side. If you have some local electronics shop I think they will give you one suitable for 5V. Or maybe the 6N138 can be supplied with 5V on detector side. I never used those but once built one optoisolator from a diode and phototransistor an put them in a black shrinktube. If your local shop does not have optoisolaotrs(optocouplers) the will certainly have a phototransisotr(which looks like a LED) -- p4trykx ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Virtualization & Cloud Management Using Capacity Planning Cloud computing makes use of virtualization - but cloud computing also focuses on allowing computing to be delivered as a service. http://www.accelacomm.com/jaw/sfnl/114/51521223/ _______________________________________________ Owfs-developers mailing list Owfs-developers@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/owfs-developers
