It's perfectly okay you may only see a single chip when listing a cached
directory. A long time ago, directory listings had been kind of static,
the chips won't go away even if the cache was outdated. There was a
"present" node inside each chip directory which triggered a "Match ROM"
to test for the chip on the bus. Paul changed that behaviour a while
ago, making the outdated chip directories disappear from cached
directory listings, with the directory still accessible if you know the
chip id.


Did you write a "branch" node of DS2409s before restarting owserver,
then listing any directory? Unfortunately, with writing the branch node,
owfs has no more a fixed representation of the bus topology but it may
wiggle just as branches are set and listing are filling the cache.
