No -- that's why I'm worried about this. All accesses are via
/bus.N/1F.XXX/{main,aux}. My code does not touch the DS2409 otherwise.
Give me some credit here -- I do know that all bets WRT caching are off
if I manually turn on random (or even not-so-random) branches of the
DS2409. However, I don't.
