Disclaimer: I work for HP Enterprise Services. Happy to give you any feedback on HP products. We do have one table offering (Slate 2 / Slate 500). Unfortunately it has a "native" resolution of 1024x600 (it can do 1024x768 but things look "distorted"), which doesn't let you launch many of the Metro apps. Otherwise it runs Win8 just fine - it just suffers from the general problems that afflict Win8 in general (e.g. Metro and Desktop integration)
