We are not a ‘maternity unit’
but overall the C/S statistic for Community Midwifery WA is 12.5% "It takes courage to remain a true advocate for women, challenging
authority and sacrificing social and professional acceptance. It takes courage
for a woman to choose a caregiver who will truly advocate for and empower
her." -Judy Slome Cohain -----Original
Message----- Does anyone on the list know of a
maternity unit in Australia that has a caesarian rate as low as 15% (top end of
the WHO recommendations) or are all of them up over 20/25% now. And if so, what are you doing there
to keep the numbers down?? Just curious..... Helen Cahill |
