Thanks Julie, I wasn't thinking of only negative information. more along the lines as to where has he been working, rural practise etc. This is a review of obstetric services and I guess my concern is the ongoing domination of the medical viewpoint and minimising the midwifery input. I believe this is a man who is quite against midwifery led services and I'm a bit puzzled as to why I have been asked to be one of the 2 midwifery reps at this dinner.
