Another deployment solution is to have your team build script package up the application using WIX into an MSI.
Then customize your installer so that it does patches to the baseline released MSI. Take a look at Add Remove Programs (Show Updates) and look at how Windows and Office for example do packaging of delta patches (hotfixes, service packs, new versions). We currently do a daily build. We would like to move only the changed files (aspx and the dlls) to the deployment folder and not the entire contents of the build. Currently, we just use a different workspace to get Currentbuild-1 source files and do a comparison with the current version and manually write up release notes to do it. Is there an easier way to do this. I would like to just deploy changed files. (Our developers check in and out at will...right now there is no constraint on when a file should be checked in except that checkins at the end of the day should build).
