Hi Guyz,
Thank you for the corrections.Now using snmpwalk command after the corrections
you highlighted there seems to be communication between the switch and the
linux server. There are also logs been generated under snmpd trap, however i
still have a challenge with Packetfence communicating with the switch when it
comes to switching vlans i.e. from mac-detection vlan to registration vlan to
normal vlan.
How can i verify that Packetfence is actually communicating with the switch.

This is not a packetfence problem, this is a networking problem. My
guess would be that you have an access list on your switch that is
preventing the packetfence server from getting to the switch for SNMP.

in that access list?

I don't believe Packetfence works this way. I just created a fake VLAN
for isolation.
