Mark, in Strawberry Perl's case, I also build .par files for Alien::wxWidgets against 5.10.1 whenever I build a new version of any "Strawberry-plus" distribution that needs Padre. Forgot to mention this earlier.
Current locations for the 5.10.x .par files are: http://strawberryperl.com/download/padre/Alien-wxWidgets-0.50-MSWin32-x86-multi-thread-5.10.1.par http://strawberryperl.com/download/padre/Wx-0.9701-MSWin32-x86-multi-thread-5.10.1.par Maybe I could put updated ones up at www.wxperl.co.uk in the future, if you'd like. (Strawberry Perl contains both the PAR::Dist modules to make and install them.) Speaking of which, I should start checking soon to see if wxWidgets (and therefore Padre) can be built on MSWin32-x64-multi-thread! (It turns out there's an open RT bug documenting the fact that it can't.) --Curtis On Sat, 27 Feb 2010 10:37 +0000, "Mark Dootson" <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi All, > > Padre PPM's are now available for > > MSWin - Perl 5.10 / 5.8 > Linux - Perl 5.10 > MacOSX - Perl 5.10 > > Not that PPM's are such a big deal, Padre being pure Perl, but the > repositories do provide working portable wxWidgets binaries for > > Linux - glibc 2.5+ > > MacOSX - 10.4/10.5/10.6 ppc & intel > > so it is a quick way to take a look at Padre. > > The URL to point someone at is > > http://www.wxperl.co.uk/repository/ppm-repository.html > > There are 3 problems folks might face when installing Padre from PPM > > 1) All platforms - you must install the ppm for Debug::Client before > Padre.
