Um, no, downloading a zip file to a Macintosh will not corrupt the file if done 
properly. We just love to hear sweeping generalizations like that one... ;o)

What utility or web browser are you using to download? How is it configured? Are you 
behind a firewall? Are you downloading it in binary mode, as opposed to text mode 
(which may translate CR and LF combinations)?
