There's no tool officially released to build Japanese application.
We japanese even can't make japanese apps. ouch!

I'm eagerly waitting for it.

I need some help localizing applications to Japanese. The new docs describe
all the gory details of internal string representation, but I didn't see
any discussion of tools to use and how to actually build the thing.
For the Palm guys: What are the tools you used and the process you went
through to create the localized applications in the Japanese WorkPad?
For any one else who has done it (and the Palm guys):
1) What tools do you recommend?
2) Can you do it with CodeWarrior's resource editor, or do you have to
build it using .r files, or is there some other caniption required?
3) Is the modified JIS character set that the Palm uses available in any
script system supported on the Macintosh so that I can actually see the
characters, and maybe even use Florent's excellent PowerGlot tool to help
with the translation?
4) Is there a difference between the JOS character set and the WorkPad's
character set? Will I need two translations to support them?
Essentially, what is the recommended procedure for exporting the charater
strings from the resouces file, getting them translated, then re-importing
them to the application? I have a translator waiting.
Thanks,
Shannon
