Steve,

I think you may have seen ASL-Connect running this Demo at various Palm
and Lotus events.

ASL-Connect is the way to connect lots of Palm machines (or Windows CE)
to corporate servers such as Lotus Notes, Exchange Server, Oracle, DB/2
etc, either locally or remotely. There is no HotSync involved at all -
ASL-Connect replaces HotSync on both sides of the comms link. Its really
a tool for IT departments to roll out large scale use of PDAs. The URL

I have been at a number of Palm events where stations were set up and
you
could pop your unit and and download an event schedule. Now I have a
similar need to set up a "non 1-to-1" HotSync where unknown people
"HotSync" just to get some information, without ending up doing a
complete HotSync to the desktop. Is there some "trick" to doing this or
does one have to write a replacement for the HotSync manager in order to

accomplish this task? (Or perhaps there's some existing tool for sale
that does this that I'm not familiar with?).
