Hi Mike,

Actually we did some time ago during the beta of our current site try
the
following:

1.have it so that only New apps listed on the home page with a
different
page with updates

2. Have New and Updated on the home page with an icon for New or
Updated

3. The current format with them in their own space

Overwhelmingly they chose number 3.

Also, we do have the other links you mention for last 25, 50 and 100
as
well as last 7, 14 and 30 days.

Woudl mind posting this to the list as when I try it keeps bouncing

Please let us know how we may be of further service!

Regards,

Kenny West

A quality program does not have to make it to a front page
to get exposure. Users will find it if it is properly categorized.
Word of mouth is what makes a quality program get to the Top 50; not
being on a front page. Everyone goes there.

I think they should remove _any_ page that allows bumping simply
by users that want their app on it.

They really should have a page dedicated to 'NEW' (absolutely new; not
just new version). This would provide exposure to new apps. It could be
time limited and could have the same New 25, New 50 or New 100.

As far as updating, I'm not sure there is any need for anything but
an 'update' icon placed with the program. I think users know what
programs they have and know where to find updates.
