Jesse, can you clarify, is the IIIe prone to the same display defect
as the IIIx, and in the same proportions of units? Or has the streak
defect been fixed in the IIIe?
If _not_ fixed, then I must say it would be most curious (carefully
chosen mild word) to ship the units that way and then expect users to
immediately determine if they must install a patch to fix the unit
right out of the box. ("Why do I have to upgrade a brand new unit?
Why isn't this built in?") Is this to make Windows users feel more at
home with Palm OS? :-)
