TSOP. We've never (to my knowledge) used BGA RAM, although the Palm V does have
a micro BGA flash part because of space considerations.

The IIIe uses the same ROM. AFAIK, its different only in that it has no serial

I hadn't heard about this until recently (so I can't swear to my answer), but I
believe that this is just a bundling deal.
None of this software (Parens & MathLib) is in ROM, its just shipped with the
device and installed by the user.

I don't know what our plans are for this.
