  that is well understood..

why can he not say something now? why wait until the conference?
the thought of "you will find out more at PalmSource 99" is what
offended me.. why wait? just tell us now?..

.. especially with a coding problem / question that is NOT new.

when it comes to releasing new API's etc. then it is ok to say
that developers will find out at the conference. but this was a
  typical question.

does one have to have signed up with Palm to get this matierial?
or shall it be online FREE to anyone? or will developers that have
signed the NDA's be able to access them via the devzone on
  Palm's website?

developer support should HELP developers - not tell them to wait.
especially with such a common confusion that has been around since
  PalmOS 1.0

i was not flaming David, so instead i provided an answer that the
original poster was looking for - not telling them they have to wait
until PalmSource - that was my point.

i think yourself, dave and others at Palm support provide very good
answers to developers on this forum - but maybe dave was a bit busy
to explain it further in this case, if so.. i misinterpreted the
whole situation.. this list is an excellent source of information -
  when information is presented.

  cheers.
