   You've got my vote on this one.  The only way users will use
and benefit from hacks is if they trust them.  Otherwise, there's
simply no impetus to use a hack if there are reports that "hacks
don't clean up" and potential users are wary of them.  Hack
developers have done a great job at establishing platform stability
so far; let's not blow our feet out from under us.
   More importantly, perhaps Palm should consider an official
stance on hacks.  Even a "don't use hacks" would be okay, so long
as Palm stood one the issue one way or the other.  Better yet,
some OS-level support for hacks would be great (FtrPtrNew was
wonderful).
   Speaking of "better yet"--Ed when is HM 2.0 going to be out?
It's been "real soon now" for nearly 2 years!  ;)
