Jerry,

what you need to do is create an App Icon Family with ID 1001. The family
doesn't need to contain all 4 bit depths - it can contain just one....

Subject: Re: Things I've learned about Constructor & bitmap families

P'raps there is something I haven't learned yet, but...

Speaking of peculiarities encountered with Constructor (CW R6, PC NT 4.0),
has anyone else had a problem with setting the list icon for your app?
Under the project settings in one of my *.rsrc files, I have set the icon
ID (1000) and can see it in the edit window. I also set the Application
Icon "name" to what I wanted and that turns out alright. However, when
I create a second icon (of the correct size 15X9) and paste it into the
edit window, I give it an ID of 1001, which according to the PalmOS
companion documentation is what you should do. It also states that you
must set the type to 'tAIB' (as opposed to 'tAIN' given to the larger
icon, ID=1000). There's nowhere in Constructor to do this of course
and when you go to the list view (once the app has been loaded), you see
what appears to be a "default" icon (that a lot of other apps have too)
and not the one you created. In your header file, there isn't even a
listing for either icon. This makes me suspect that there's something
I haven't learned yet...what am I missing?

I'll save my next question for a seperate e-mail. ;)

Thank you!

Jerry Adair
