I can't wait to hear this subject come up at the Color Palm Track of Computer Games
Developer Conference in a few months. Palm
would be very wise to have a patch ready for at least beta for those talks. Games
developers of all software engineers are the
least forgiving as far a system features are concerned. Yes, this is first hand
knowledge.

There HAS to be way to get to the color LCD control registers to turn these pixels to
black. I can't believe any LCD maker would
hardwire any pixel color in their LCD controller chip. It just takes someone in the
PalmOS systems group to write a patch for the
LCD driver for the color screen and document its API extension. I'm sure it is hard
coded right now just waiting for a more
general purpose function to be implemented.

Put this in Palm OS 3.5.1 maybe?
