Exactly. If I decided to port the 0.6.0 prc-tools to, say, AmigaOS or BeOS
or QNX Neutrino, I'm allowed to do so under the GPL - on condition that I
submit any changes back into the community. The term "open source" does
cover quite a broad group of related ideas, but prc-tools are under GPL
and thus no one is really supposed to be 'the one true prc-tools'.
Also, not all platforms using the GCC development environment follow the
"Zen of UNIX" so does that mean Michael Sokolov's prc-tools can't be used
on those systems? That doesn't seem like a good deal, to be honest...
particularly since I've used previous ports of prc-tools on non-UNIX OSs
without any problem.
