I believe we are already awake wrt wireless networking.. We're already at
the point of bitching about coverage zones, antenna size, and battery life.
Since we are making predictions, I believe that future PDAs will be the price
of disposable cameras and be sold in bubble packs on peg boards just like
cheap calculators. They will run off a single AA battery and use 100% flash
storage. And they will possibly (don't quote me on this) have some type of
M&M chocolate candy dispenser or twisty lollipop attachment.

Those aren't in _much_ demand; because a) people get sick of having earphones
stuck in their heads, and b) eventually you stop getting lost and don't need
maps. I will say however that the real growth market is any device that lets
you step away from the PC.. whether that means doing work, stocks,
entertainment, or whatever. So it's not so much in how much power the device
has, it just has to offer some freedom that you don't get from being chained
to a desk.

Ironically I bought a RIM950 just so I don't have to flip up and antenna, and
because it has a buzzer (good for a massage) when it receives email. Isn't
that sickening! But that is reality, it's the small things that make people
choose one device over another.
