Some databases engines have their own memory management by updating an offset table to 
arrange memory chunks sp they appear
contiguous at the API level but not in physical memory.  Thus you can add in records 
at position zero and no memory is moved; only
the record management table is updated.  I'd like to hear a comment from Palm on this 
one.
